for IE, go to tools-internet options and click
*delete cookies
*delete files
from the dialog box.
it might help speeding up the website surfing..
sometimes, connection might be culprit..
or IE browser too, might have problems like unpatched IE ... ( i suggest you use the latest Hot fixes or at least use XP with SP2)
or you can use firewall software like ZoneAlarm which will show you where aand how the connections are made from it's PROGRAM TAB.
it will let you have full control of your internets bandwidth... you can check if IE is having unnecessary bandwidth even there is no single page loading, then it's alarming and someone is trying to intrude your system.. once i suggest you installed the latest IE with patches applied..
IE tries to load images on web pages at single go, this could be quite annoying for slow connection as this will display the page at very slow speed.
firefox, tries to load images on web pages one by one and at first , this seems the faster loading of pages,it still is an illusion but definitely one thing is true it shows the page with text faster than IE.. the idea is split or multipart downloading of multimedia contents.
there is workaroud for IE to make load pages faster( if you are the informaation seeker, i hope you don't really care much about images which takes lots of bandwidth)
- go to IE's Tools->Internet Options->Advanced Tab
-from the multimedia section, deselect the SHOW images check box.
now on you'll experience the faster page loading with no images on it. but if you really want to see the particular image, right click on undisplayed image and select "SHOW picture " from shortcut menu, |
