i'd love to answer that (lol)...first of all, here's what i posted the night i renamed this post

ANNOUNCEMENT: Topic name changed to A Penguin's Diary..no reason whatsoever.

A Penguin's Diary
Somewhere in the cold dark Antarctic, a penguin looks up at the night sky in wonder and amazement as the colorful aurora sways in a slow and mystical rhythm. The penguin is all alone and lost, but it isn't afraid....It takes out its mp3 player and starts singing along.....and thus begins,..a penguin's diary....

...the thing is, i was obsessed with auroras at that time...auroras are common at the polar regions...penguins live in the southern polar regions too...so i imagined a lonely penguin under the Antarctic night sky looking at an aurora in awe and amazement Smile ...a penguin living in an almost heavenly, surreal world...life and nature, together in an extreme environment somehow seemed irresistible to me...but lovely as it seemed, i also felt that the environment was kinda sad somehow...me was also a little sad at that time, so the name just clicked ...but the reference to auroras is not explicitly mentioned in the name..

...i hope you're satisfied with the explanation...that's all there is to that name ...but for all i know, i could have named it 'the pickle jar' or 'bluemonkey's journal' or maybe 'a wabbit's diary' ....what's in a name..you name something, then build a brand reputation around it...lol

...and since you made me remember auroras again, here are some photos...they are something you must put on your to-see-before-i-die list.

..and thank you for asking this particular question ..i really enjoyed answering that. *grins*

Highly impressed.

Phyzics as I know is one of the really super talented writers I have ever seen. He has the correct ideology of putting words together and relating things, he is aware about what he writes and how should he lay them in words ,he has a great knowledge about things surrounding him with plus point – a great sense of humor that makes every bit he writes a work of a proficient , just perfectly done.

I’ve not been able to go through all the episodes of this diary but among the ones I have read … I can say that one will enjoy the item till the last word.

You are really an inspiration for me!!

You are just so great Phyzics!!

Stupid Stupid Words

Silence...
For what i feel
is overwhelmingly complex
to be expressed in words.
So let me be
silent,
for words bring confusion.

Love
i went where life took me.
i walked on and on
and came upon a sea with no beginning.
i never knew when i drowned.

Lost
Searching for the moon on a moonless night,
i stood beside a dried-up summer creek.
a cold wind blew
and carried the dandelions away,
deep into the night.

Shakespeare in Love

It was past midnight...
//The End

phyzics: you know, i don feel like writing this right now...maybe tomorrow
Aros: why did you even start writing then?
phyzics: i dunno..first i felt like writing...then suddenly i didn't want to anymore
Aros: you don't write much thesedays anyway....some kind of a writer's block u having?
phyzics: ya...well, sort of...not entirely though...i just didn't feel like writing on this particular topic
Aros: well, then write something different...since the readers are already here it's only fair that you give them something to read....
phyzics: you're right man! ..readers are a writer's lifeline (haha)...mustn't disappoint them (haha)...i'll cook something.....will write about Shakespeare in whatever tomorrow, maybe ....and thanks, what would i do without your advice.
Aros: Advice is my first name (haha)...
phyzics: i thought it was Aros??
Aros: DUH!!! ...enough sh**! ...hey, can you loan me 1000 bucks? am taking Sally out on a date.
physicz: what do you mean 10 bucks....here, i'll lend you a 100!

'Boys Love Home Repair' series...
Part I: The Rice Cooker Mechanic

Boys love repairing stuffs around the house...it was an adage that i would repeat to myself again n again...It was those star world family series that i watched as a kid where the dad would fix everything around the house..plumbing, fixing the roof, the restroom, the kid's bicycle, car, furniture, gardening, everything..hands covered in dirt and grease...diy...it was cool...and so i always dreamt of repairing stuffs...i did repair some taps and pipes around the house, a few electrical outlets and my bicycle... but other stuffs seemed complicated... but i had to start somewhere, fix something complex....well, it was just my lucky day ...mom summoned me to the kitchen..the rice cooker wasn't working..it was 18 years old...dad brought it a few days after my little brother was born so that he could cook for mom...anyways, mom told me to take the cooker to the repair shop..but i had other plans..there was no way i was going to let go of this opportunity..i got ready to venture into an uncharted territory and fix myself a rice cooker...

i opened it up...there were a lot of metal strips, most of them covered in rust..it didn't look very complex though...the electricity would heat up a circular metal base, which would in turn cook me my rice...but there were some other parts and i couldn't make sense of those..i knew they were supposed to turn up the heat, but the connections looked confusing...and that was where the problem was...i just couldn't figure out what was wrong..there were no wires..connections were made using the metal strips which were twisted at hundred places and it even looked like the strips were disconnected at some places...it looked hopeless..i even thought about giving up.. but then i remembered how the dad would fix everything in those tv series..it was cool...i got all charged up again..i WILL fix this piece of sh** today, somehow...i was determined...i stared at it for a few more minutes, opened a few more screws and all of a sudden i thought i knew what was wrong...but that piece of sh** was still complex and i couldn't repair it completely..besides, i didn't have any replacement parts ...nevertheless, i improvised by tying a few loose parts together using short pieces of wires, and bent some metal strips here and there....done...i looked at my hands..it was a little dirty..cool ...i hooked it up to the mains...as the indicator light in the cooker wasn't working i put in some water to test if the cooker would heat it up...soon enough, the water got warm...woohooo...me fixed meself my very first rice cookre..."mom! here's your rice cooker. I had to improvise, but it'll work for another 18 years...and you don't have to pay me..it's ok" ...i went to my room feeling proud only to be called to the kitchen a couple of minutes later... mr. rice cooker had short-circuited...mom said she was trying to move the cooker, when BOOM, and a few fumes...sh**! all that hard work for nothing...the thought of opening it all up again overwhelmed me..fixing the rice cooker was boring like hell...it was then that i suddenly yawned one of the longest yawns of my life ...and as i yawned, i remembered how the dad would fix everything around the house in those tv series, hands covered in dirt and grease..it was kinda cool!

@Outrage: i told you that i was working on the character of Aros and de boy...well, the concept's getting clearer in my mind now...aros is going to be smaller in size than de boy...and de boy is going to bully the ant like hell, time and again..haha....but it'll still take months to prepare a working draft, me thinks Wink ...or maybe i'll join university here or go abroad for further studies and drop the idea altogether (haha)

@happyQ: do i know you??
